Hadrian’s Wall

On Monday the 12th of September me and 4 of my work pal’s will be traveling north to embark on a 84 mile walk alongside Hadrian’s wall . This is a personal quest for me just to get out and push myself for my son Harry one of my three beautiful children whom i love all equally. Our goal on the first day of  walking (Tuesday) will be to walk in the region of 30 miles. So a big thank you to my pal’s Andrew, Mark, Ryan and Jonathan and to my employee’s Kimberly Clark for their support and help and to all the work force that have sponsored me your genorosity will ensure that Harry will have the best aftercare possible. Will miss my family while away Good Luck Harry on your first day at your new school and love to you all especially Shane and all my family.

We have done it !!!!!!

In a whirlwind of 4 months and 4 days that Harry’s site has been up and running we have hit our target of £60,000 our family are utterly amazed in the generosity of so many people in such a short time. If  you are reading this and you have donated or helped in anyway to our son to our grandson to our brother or to our nephew’s cause then you have started a new journey in Harry’s life. We now as a family will now do all we can to ensure harry will fulfill his potential and the hard work will start from the moment Harry leaves that operating table on the 1st of November 2011 in a different country from which he was born. We as a family are under no illusion that this is a quick fix and we will have to work Harry hard and put him through strenuous physio and therapy regimes for years to come that most 3 year olds would never have to encounter, their will be tears and upset from Harry and from ourselves but it will be worth it to see our precious son slowly take the small steps to a better future. Words are not enough and thank you seems such a small return to all you people that have helped supported and dug deep into your pockets we owe so many people a debt of gratitude and i owe my partner Shane my rock our children my Mum and Dad and my Sister Nicci and her family so much for their support and hard work  and understanding. We love you all and all of you take care of the people that mean so much to you xxx

Moving onwards

Our family and friends have had some much needed rest as far as fundraising is concerned and i think we all needed that break…. It can take over at times and sometimes you can forget about all the people that matter to you. Well moving on, Harry’s fund stands today at a phenomenal £47,682.58 a truly amazing amount of money and their is more to be added soon! Watch this Space. The last two weeks have seen us getting ever nearer to that £50k mark so thank you too all those that have donated and we had another anonymous donation of £1000. On Saturday the 30th we had a sponsored fun walk we had nearly 70 family and friends with us all dressed up and looking really good and i think they all enjoyed themselves (hopefully anyway). Thanks to you all for making the effort and hitting the pubs on route and to all the people that donated and to the pubs in letting us come in and collect. We collected nearly £1200 in the buckets which included two cheque’s totaling  £300 . This does not include sponsor money some has come in some is outstanding. Big shouts to Tom Nugent and Dave Chips Baldwinson for the effort they went to in raising sponsorship. Thanks to my cousin Mandy for getting involved and getting Harry in the paper again.
